US FWS HCMX Project Overview Presentation - POP
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Human Capital Management Experience (HCMX) modernization focused on improving the efficiency, usability, and long-term sustainability of a mission-critical workforce management platform. Through comprehensive research and planning, the project analyzed existing business processes, workflow dependencies, approval lifecycles, and user roles to establish a clear foundation for modernization. This discovery effort informed the development of an intuitive, scalable user experience that supports Human Resources specialists, supervisors, and employees throughout the job announcement lifecycle.
The engagement included workflow analysis, UX/UI design, design system development, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and data migration planning to support a seamless transition from legacy processes. The resulting platform modernized workforce management through standardized interfaces, streamlined business processes, and reusable design components, creating a scalable foundation that improves usability, simplifies long-term maintenance, and supports the evolving operational needs of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
