Axiom Wins Major HHS Program Support Contract

November 19, 2003

Falls Church, Virginia. Axiom Resource Management, Inc. announced a major contract to provide far-reaching support to the Department of Health and Human Services and other federal government agencies. The five year contract will allow Axiom to compete against some of the largest, most successful companies in the country to deliver program management support staff, technical expertise, website support, and detailed analytical reports and evaluations of federal programs and policies.

"This is an exciting new opportunity for Axiom," said Doug Peardon, the company's executive vice president and chief operating officer. "Every division of Axiom, from our core program management professionals to our IT group to our human performance technology specialists, will have the chance to contribute to the work we will perform under this contract."

Known in federal procurement circles as an "Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity" (IDIQ) contract, the government awards these to a select group of companies who have demonstrated superior ability to provide services critical to the success of government programs. Holders of IDIQ awards are eligible to respond to specific solicitations or task orders issued by individual federal clients throughout the life of the contract.

During the past five years, HHS and other federal agencies have issued 455 delivery orders through this contract vehicle, with an average award of $500,000. Under the terms of the contract awarded to Axiom, the government can procure as much as $50 million in contractor services each year for the next five years.

"We'll be competing against an elite field of contractors," said Axiom founder and CEO Ben Hankins. "We've built a top quality, fully integrated suite of support services for our federal clients, and they're delighted with our work," said Hankins. "We can't wait to take the Axiom spirit to a whole new range of clients."

"The potential for new business and future growth is enormous," said Kevin Riley, the company's Chief Financial Officer. Axiom and its divisions have a long history of successful support to HHS and related federal agencies, Riley observed. "We've shown that we can compete successfully against larger firms, and we look forward to the opportunity to compete for task orders under this contract."

Axiom Resource Management, Inc. is headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia with branch offices throughout the country.
