Axiom Ranked Among Top Technology Employers by Washington Business Journal
October 8 , 2004
The Washington Business Journal has named Axiom Resource Management, Incorporated, the 33d-Largest Technology Employer in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The Journal reported that Axiom had $42 million in revenues in 2003, with 440 employees in the Washington region. This is Axiom's first appearance on the annual list, which appeared in the Journal's September 24-30 2004 edition.
"This is very good news," said Kevin Riley, Axiom Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. "It reflects Axiom's strong but steady growth since its inception in 1996. More than that, though, it reflects the high quality of work Axiom has done for clients," he said. "When you do great work for clients, you grow."
In May 2004, Axiom was named to Black Enterprise Magazine's prestigious "BE 100" list of America's top black-owned industrial/service businesses, coming in at number 76. In June 2004, Axiom President & Chief Executive Officer Ben Hankins was named "One of Fifty Influential Minorities in American Business" by the Minority Business Professionals Network. Axiom was also recognized in Washingtonian magazine's most recent "50 Best Places to Work in Washington" issue, receiving an honorable mention for philanthropic work.
"It's wonderful to see the people of Axiom recognized for their many contributions," said Hankins, who founded the company in 1996. "We believe in taking care of our clients, taking care of our people, and taking care of the larger community," he said. "Take care of those three precious things, and you have the best chance of success in business."
"We're very proud to be on the list of Washington's top technology employers," said Doug Peardon, Axiom's Chief Operating Officer. He added, "If we want to climb the list we've got to recruit the best people and also keep the superstars who work at Axiom today."
