Axiom Client Wins Industry Award for Excellence in Communications
July 28, 2003
Falls Church, Virginia. The Communications and Customer Service (C&CS) Directorate of the TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) recently won the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) Vision Award for the 2003 TRICARE Stakeholders' Report. The report received honorable mention for its creative appeal, effective messaging, and narrative content.
The LACP recognizes excellence in professional communications among government entities, and other businesses and organizations. This year's Vision Award was presented to nominees who demonstrated superior focus on the interests and needs of their stakeholders.
"We're proud to have Axiom personnel supporting this winning effort," said Axiom President Ben Hankins. "Helping our clients meet and exceed their goals is rewarding for them and for us."
Axiom has supported the C&CS Directorate since the directorate's inception in 1998. In addition to providing ongoing creative support for the production of TMA's annual stakeholders' report, Axiom personnel provide the directorate with expertise in public relations, customer service, curriculum development, marketing, and management of the TRICARE website.
According to Gail Amare, manager of the Web and Creative Services team in the C&CS Directorate, the team's work on this year's stakeholders report is commendable.
"It's great to know the products we help to generate for our clients are being rewarded and recognized by other communications professionals," said Amare, who also serves as Axiom assistant vice president. "I feel good about that and so does our creative team."
Axiom also supports other award-winning programs in the Military Health System (MHS):
TRICARE Online, the MHS' web-based information health portal, received the 2003 Pioneers in E-Gov Award for its cutting-edge technology.
In addition, the Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program won the 2003 Federation of Governments Information Processing Council's Intergovernmental Solutions Award for using technology to create more efficient access to health care and accessibility to services.
