Axiom Resource Management Dedicates Fisher House Training Room

July 13, 2005

Falls Church, Virginia. Axiom Resource Management, Incorporated, dedicated its new Fisher House Training Room at a ceremony held today at Axiom's corporate headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia.

"We wanted to honor the work of the Fisher House Foundation, and also reflect the tremendous amount of philanthropic work Axiom people perform in the community," said Axiom Partner Doug Peardon.

Axiom holds an annual charity golf tournament to raise funds for the Fisher Houses of the Washington area. Last year's tourney raised over $16,000. The 2005 golf event is set for October 19th at Ft Belvoir, Virginia.

Fisher Houses are located on the campus of 33 military and veterans medical centers, offering families the chance to stay as close as possible to loved ones requiring hospitalization for illnesses, wounds, or other injuries. Each year Fisher Houses provide a home away from home for 7,000 families, and since the first Fisher House opened in 1990, more than 1,500,000 days of lodging have been extended to families of veterans, active duty personnel, or family members receiving treatment at military and veterans medical centers.

Mr. Dave Coker, Executive Director and Vice President for Operations, Fisher House Foundation, spoke at the dedication. "I want to thank the people of Axiom Resource Management. Your support will help the Fisher House Foundation help America's military families at a time of great need." Mr. Coker presented Axiom's leadership with a beautiful shadowbox containing 24 commemorative coins from Fisher Houses in the continental United States, Hawaii, and Germany.

"Corporate training rooms are fairly interchangeable," said Peardon. "We wanted ours to capture how much we respect the Fisher House Foundation, and show how Axiom people serve their neighbors in need."

In addition to telling the Fisher House story and displaying photos and memorabilia from the Axiom/Fisher House golf tournament, the walls of the Fisher House Training Room show Axiom people supporting such activities as Rebuilding Together/Christmas in April, the 3-Day/60 Mile Walk to Fight Breast Cancer, and Axiom's "adopting" Mount Vernon Community School in Alexandria, Virginia.

"The room tells the story of people helping people," said Axiom Partner Kevin Riley, "I can't imagine a better setting for training."
