Axiom Wins TRICARE Regional Office Support Contract
June 15, 2005
Falls Church, Virginia. Axiom Resource Management, Inc. announced the award of a new contract to provide administrative and program management support to the regional offices of the TRICARE Management Activity. Under the contract, Axiom will provide a staff of 17 to support the day to day operations of the TRICARE Management Activity's three regional offices.
TRICARE provides access to a network of civilian hospitals, healthcare providers, dentists and pharmacists that are authorized to provide care to nearly 10 million active duty military personnel, retirees, and eligible family members. Under TRICARE's previous organizational structure, these networks were managed by seven separate regional offices. The agency recently consolidated these into three regions to create a more streamlined, cost-effective health care system for America's military.
"Efficient administration and management of these offices are critical to the continued success of TRICARE," said Doug Peardon, Axiom's chief operating officer. "We at Axiom are proud to contribute to this success." The professional team Axiom will deploy to the three TRICARE Regional Offices includes senior analysts, subject matter experts, program management experts, and administrative personnel.
