Frank Cumberland Joins Axiom Resource Management, Inc. as VP For Communications, Marketing and Strategic Planning

May 24, 2002

Falls Church, Virginia. Axiom Resource Management, Inc., announced today that Frank Cumberland is joining the firm as Vice President for Communications, Marketing and Strategic Planning.

Cumberland brings a wealth of experience to this new position on Axiom's executive team. Cumberland recently retired from the US Air Force medical service corps, where he served as Director of Communications and Customer Service for TRICARE Management Activity (TMA), the Defense Department's managed healthcare program serving 8.4 million eligible beneficiaries. Axiom provides TMA wide-ranging managerial, technical, and analytical support.

"Having Frank on board just strengthens our ability to serve one of our most important clients," added Doug Peardon, Partner. "But he's also the right person to help integrate our new capabilities and lead the company into new markets"

Axiom has acquired several small companies over the past two years, including Keymind, an Internet marketing firm, and Didactics, a firm specializing in improving human performance through technology and training.

Each of Axiom's strategic partnerships has added powerful new dimensions to the company's capabilities. "The real challenge," according to Partner Kevin Riley, "will be to integrate these strategic assets so that Axiom can deliver a wider array of services to an even larger universe of clients while maintaining our record of blue-ribbon service. Frank's the best person for the job."

Cumberland expressed great enthusiasm for this newest assignment. "This is a great organization with superb leadership, talented staff, an outstanding reputation for performance, and unlimited opportunity for growth. I'm proud to be a part of the Axiom team."

Recognized by the National Association of Government Communicators as Government Communicator of the Year in 2001, and a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives, Cumberland is a respected expert in managed health care marketing and communications. His recent publications include "Get the Word Out," a guide to successful communications in the federal sector published in Government Executive Magazine online, and "A Tool-Kit for Young Leaders: Three Lessons from a 25-year Leadership Study" for Uniformed Services Journal.

Axiom Resource Management, Inc. is headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia with branch offices in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Georgia, and Colorado.
