Axiom's Keymind Division Earns CMMI-DEV Level 5
May 9, 2012
Falls Church, VA. Axiom Resource Management, Inc., is extremely proud to announce that its Keymind Division has been successfully appraised at the highest level, Maturity Level 5, of the Software Engineering Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development© (CMMI-DEV), version 1.3. This ranks Keymind among the world’s top 5 percent of organizations reporting CMMI appraisal results.
The CMMI-DEV is a process improvement approach or framework for software engineering and development that provides best practices across a number of process areas such as requirements, configuration, and project management; verification and validation; requirements development; technical solution; and measurement and analysis. CMMI-DEV has five maturity levels. As an organization reaches each level, they become more efficient, productive and able to effectively manage project and organization risks. Keymind has been using the CMM/CMMI to help define and refine its processes and methodology since 2004.
Axiom Managing Partner Doug Peardon praised the entire Keymind staff for this achievement. “This has been a multi-year effort by the Keymind team, and I have watched their CMMI progression with great pride. This is an incredibly significant milestone for Keymind and the entire Axiom team. Clients and prospective clients will understand how this credential puts us a step ahead of the competition.”
Shane Oleson, Keymind Division President, expressed his admiration for his staff’s work on this effort. He said, “We could not have done this without the tireless work of the Keymind staff and the essential support we have received from the Fraunhofer Center for Experimental Software Engineering. This maturity rating will be a differentiator for Keymind and the entire Axiom family.”
