Axiom Now Listed on GSA MOBIS Schedule
January 9, 2003
Axiom Resource Management, Inc. announced that it has signed a contract giving it the opportunity to do more business with the federal government. The contract allows Axiom to participate in the Management, Organization, and Business Improvement Services (MOBIS) portion of the GSA Schedules program.
The GSA Schedules program, overseen by the General Services Administration, lets participants sell goods and services to any interested portion of the federal government at pre-negotiated prices. Axiom Chief Financial Officer Kevin Riley sees the MOBIS listing as "an outstanding opportunity to expand into new federal markets. We have to get out there, promote our abilities, and show what we can do."
Axiom President Ben Hankins explained, "There's a GSA schedule for almost anything you can imagine. Having a contract on the MOBIS schedule is great for Axiom because it encompasses some of our core business capabilities." Axiom's MOBIS contract number is GS-10F-0065N.
Under this schedule Axiom will offer Consulting, Facilitation, and Program Management services. Consulting services include efforts such as documentation, studies, analyses, strategic planning, and productivity improvement. Facilitation services involve performing the support work needed by agencies as they bring together diverse groups for common goals such as meetings, briefings, and conferences.
Axiom will also provide Program Management services as part of its MOBIS offerings. Chief Operating Officer Doug Peardon emphasized, "Program Management is the rock upon which Axiom was founded and grew. We're successful in many additional areas today, but that's where it all started." Axiom's Program Management work typically includes providing comprehensive assessments of client operations, defining goals and mission requirements, ensuring tight and efficient budgeting of tasks, and overseeing compliance with the Defense Acquisition System.
Gaining access to a GSA Schedule can be a long process because the government must make sure it is negotiating fair prices and that the companies can live up to their promises. Companies participating in the program are held to strict standards. Although the government is under no obligation to use Axiom, the company's leadership is confident this development will play a major role in the company's future. Axiom is already on the GSA Schedule for providing Information Technology services. That contract number is GS-35F-0085L.
Axiom Resource Management, Inc. is headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia with branch offices throughout the country.
